Macro tips on Image Stacking in CS4

A new feature to CS4 is the ability to use multiple images, taken on a tripod and focused at different points, to create an extended depth of field image. The method works pretty well but is anything but intuitive! It requires several steps. I’ve added a page to my Macro Photos and Image Stacking Tips explaining the steps.

My own work has been pretty mundane lately, mostly restoration jobs, but they sure help the cash flow! We made a trip down the coast to Brookings a couple days ago, but it was so foggy that you could rarely see the ocean. I’d hoped for photos at several locations, and some would have been good in a lighter fog, but mostly it was pea soup stuff.
